Al Ruguba Villa

Main facade -- pavilion composition at scale, white planes and stone accents

The Al Ruguba Villa confronts the challenge of bringing human warmth and spatial intimacy to a building of considerable scale.

The design strategy breaks the overall mass into a series of linked pavilions, each calibrated to its occupants and oriented to capture the best views of the private garden and pool. The facade employs a layered composition of white planes and stone accents that manage the desert climate through shading and thermal mass while creating a powerful architectural character.
